Trading Time for Memories in Boyer world

We are those parents now... living for the times when family can be together. And this last week was a beaut'. Chelsea had 96 hours, no more, after finals. Lydia had a couple more days than that. Lynne's parents came up, and my Mom came down. Plus it was Grandpa's 84th birthday. The week would be full of energy, fun, and quirkiness, all the things that make time with the Boyer family great. Lydia showed up first on Friday, and Saturday morning we went strawberry picking in the mud to make some jam. The berries were not great so that we had to cut off the bad parts as we were picking. But in the end we had enough berries. We made low sugar jam using half sugar and half monk sugar.  Meme showed up on Tuesday just in time for a game of Qwirkle, and Lynne's parents showed up on Wednesday. Mother’s Day 2023 Today was a very unique Mother’s Day. We had three mothers at a time.  @Lynne Lynn and Marge. Plus we celebrated grandpas birthday.   For dinner we had Steak Vegetables Shrimp For dessert we had an awesome tart.  We also played miniature golf.  It was a great time together and the moms agreed. 

Mission Date: 9MAR2024 Months ago we found out that Chelsea’s gymnastics team would compete at Clemson university in South Carolina. We don’t live close to Clemson but we are barely within drivable distance, making it much easier to get to than USAFA in Colorado Springs. And then… we realized that Clemson was nearly equidistant from us and grandma and grandpa. And then… we realized that Lydia’s spring break from the USCGA was the same time. All the planets aligned and it was decided that mom, dad, Lydia, grandma, grandpa, and meme would descend together upon Clemson university March 8,2024. And then… Abigail was added to the mix when her flight to Spain was scheduled just after the meet. So the whole fam would be together! Leading up to the meet Chelsea had been struggling with gymnastics dealing with her back and the psychological side affects of that. There was concern that Chelsea might not travel to Clemson.
